Hershel Has Become Part of My Daily Life

About six months ago, when I moved into my RV, I met one of the sweetest little dogs I have ever known. His name is Hershel, and he belongs to my neighbor. From the very first day I moved here, he started coming over to visit me.

Now it’s part of our daily routine.

Every day, Hershel spends about four hours with me. I honestly look forward to seeing him. Before long, he made himself completely at home. Sometimes he curls up on my couch for a nap, and other times he follows me around just wanting to be close. He has such a gentle and affectionate personality that it’s impossible not to love him.

One thing I appreciate is how well he gets along with Tidbit. They enjoy each other’s company, and it’s wonderful to see them together. Even my baby chicken, Peepers, doesn’t seem to bother him. He simply accepts everyone as part of the family.

Life can sometimes feel lonely, especially when you’re home most of the time because of a disability. Animals have a special way of filling those quiet moments with comfort, laughter, and companionship. Hershel may not be my dog, but his daily visits have become a blessing that I never expected.

It’s amazing how a little dog can brighten an ordinary day just by showing up, curling up on the couch, and reminding you that friendship sometimes arrives with four paws and a wagging tail.

Thank you, Hershel, for making yourself at home. I’m always happy to see you. And I have a feeling Tidbit and Peepers are happy to have you around too.

With love & light,
