A Father’s Love Written Between the Lines
Behind every dream is often someone quietly holding the light when the path feels uncertain. For me, that person has always been my dad, Ray Amon.
Throughout my entire writing career, he has stood faithfully beside me — encouraging me, supporting me, and believing in my gift long before many others ever saw it. From the earliest rough drafts to the final published paperback on Amazon, my dad has been part of this journey every step of the way.
Reading My Stories Before the World Does
One of the most meaningful parts of my writing process is knowing my dad is reading my books from the very beginning. Before the editing is complete, before the covers are finalized, and before the stories ever reach readers, he is already turning the pages.
He has watched ideas grow into chapters and chapters grow into books. He has seen the late nights, the rewrites, the moments of inspiration, and the moments of doubt. Having someone who believes in your words before they are polished for the world is a gift beyond measure.
As a writer, that kind of support touches the heart deeply.
His Support Means More Than Words Can Say
Writing is not always easy. There are seasons where creativity flows like a river, and there are seasons where you wonder if your voice truly matters. During all of those moments, my dad has remained constant.
What means so much to me is that he continues buying several of my paperback books every month until he owns each book that I have published. Every purchase is more than a book sale to me — it is love, encouragement, and belief wrapped inside every page.
It reminds me that the stories I write matter.
It reminds me to keep going.
It reminds me that I am not walking this journey alone.
Helping Me Build My Dreams
My dad has also helped me with several projects throughout my writing career. Whether he was offering encouragement, listening to new ideas, supporting my goals, or simply reminding me to keep believing in myself, his presence has helped shape the path I continue walking today.
So many people only see the finished books sitting on Amazon shelves, but behind every published work are the people who quietly helped hold the dream together. My dad is one of those people for me.
