There are moments in a writer’s journey that feel almost unreal — moments that arrive quietly, through an email notification, yet carry the weight of years of dreaming, writing, praying, and persevering.
Today, I’m deeply honored and grateful to share one of those moments with you.
I recently received an editorial inquiry from Scholastic Publishing House, and after responding for clarification, I received confirmation from editor Emily Seife that this is a genuine editorial inquiry from their publishing house.
In her email, she shared that there would be no cost involved on my side during the review process and expressed interest in taking a closer look at my work for possible publication and development discussions.
Reading those words felt like watching a long-held dream step gently into the light.
As many of you know, writing has never been just a hobby for me. It has been healing. It has been ministry. It has been survival, imagination, faith, and purpose woven together through stories, journals, devotionals, fantasy worlds, and encouragement for others walking through difficult seasons.
From the Princess Crystal Says brand to the Kingdom of Veil series, from guided workbooks to inspirational children’s stories. I also enjoy writing devotionals, werewolf romance, and dragon fantasy books for all ages. I have always written my stories from my heart. Every page carries pieces of my writing journey.
In the email, the editor invited me to submit:
My manuscript
A synopsis
Additional project materials for internal review
She also shared that, as conversations progress, the next possible step could involve connecting with the literary agent team they work alongside for broader development discussions and project coordination.
That alone is such an incredible honor.
As a writer, you spend so much time creating in quiet spaces. You write when nobody sees you. You write through self-doubt. You write through exhaustion. You write because stories refuse to leave your heart alone.
And then one day, someone notices.
Not just anyone — but a respected publishing house willing to open the door and say:
“We would be very glad to take a closer look at your work.”
I don’t take this lightly.
No matter what happens next, I am thankful for every reader who has supported me, encouraged me, shared my books, prayed for me, and believed in my voice along the way. You helped me keep going when the path felt uncertain.
This moment belongs to all of us.
I’m excited to continue preparing my manuscript and materials for submission, and I look forward to sharing more updates as this journey unfolds.
Whatever doors open next, I know this season is proof that dreams planted with faith, consistency, and courage can bloom in beautiful and unexpected ways.
