“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8
When Everything Feels Different
Life has changed in ways I never expected, and looking back, I can see how God was gently leading me even when I did not understand what He was doing.
There were seasons when I felt uncertain, afraid, and unsure of what would come next. I had to let go of familiar things, face difficult moments, and trust God one step at a time.
But God used those changes to grow me. He brought healing where I had been hurting, peace where I had been anxious, and new hope where I had almost given up.
My life is not perfect, but it is changing for the good. I am becoming stronger, wiser, more grateful, and more aware of God’s presence in my everyday life.
God Is Still With You
When my life changed, it sometimes felt as though the ground beneath my feet had shifted. I wondered what would happen next and whether I was truly ready for a new chapter.
But while my circumstances changed, God did not.
He was with me in the chapter that ended.
He is with me in the chapter I am living now.
And He is already present in the chapter I have not yet begun.
I have learned that I do not have to understand everything today. Faith is not always having the answers. Sometimes faith simply means trusting God enough to take the next step, even when I cannot see the whole path.
Some Changes Become Blessings
Some of the changes I once feared became blessings I could not have imagined.
An ending made room for a new beginning. A closed door protected me from something I was not meant to carry. A season of waiting taught me patience, and difficult experiences revealed strength I did not know I possessed.
I would not choose every painful moment again, but I can now see how God used them to shape my heart and redirect my life.
The pain was real, but it did not get the final word.
God brought beauty into places that once felt empty and gave me reasons to hope again.
When Change Hurts
Even good change can be difficult.
There were things I had to grieve, people I had to release, and versions of myself I had to leave behind. I learned that moving forward does not mean pretending the past did not matter.
I can miss what was and still be thankful for what is becoming. I can cry and still have faith. I can feel uncertain and still trust God.
I am learning to give myself permission to walk through each season one day at a time.
God is not asking me to have tomorrow figured out tonight.
Keep Walking Forward
My life looks different today than I once imagined, but I am grateful for the person I am becoming.
When I look back, I can see how far I have come. I have survived changes I once thought would break me. I have walked through endings, beginnings, unexpected turns, and seasons when I could not see very far ahead.
And I am still here.
Then ask yourself:
More than that, I am growing. I am healing. I am learning to recognize God’s goodness in ordinary moments and trust that He is working even when life feels uncertain.
So when another change comes—good or difficult—I will remember that I do not walk into it alone.
I will hold God’s hand.
When change brings joy, help me receive it with gratitude. When change brings sorrow, give me strength to walk through it. When I am afraid of what comes next, remind me that You are already there.
Prayer
I will take the next step.
I will let yesterday be yesterday, receive today’s grace, and trust God with whatever tomorrow brings.
Dear God,
Thank You for changing my life in ways I never expected and for staying beside me through every beautiful beginning and every painful ending.
Thank You for helping me grow through the things I once thought would destroy me. Thank You for bringing healing to my heart, peace to my mind, and hope to my future.
Help me release what I cannot control, cherish what I have today, and trust You with the chapters still unwritten.
Thank You for making my life new in ways I could not have done on my own.
Amen.
Reflection
What change has God used to make your life better?
Take a moment to remember where you were, how far you have come, and the ways God has helped you grow.
What is the one step God is asking me to take today?
Sometimes one faithful step is enough.
With love and light,
Crystal Amon
