Dragon Strong: My Story came from one of the most difficult chapters of my life. It was born from my journey through cancer treatment, pursuing my education, and continuing to build Princess Crystal Says while facing challenges that tested my faith, strength, and determination.

This book is more than the story of what happened to me. It is a testimony to what can happen when we refuse to let hardship write the final chapter.

Why I Shared My Story

Writing about your own life requires a different kind of courage.

When you tell a personal story, you are not hiding behind fictional characters. You are opening the door to your memories and inviting others to see the places where you struggled, changed, and grew.

I chose to share my story because someone else may be living through a season that feels impossible.

Someone may be sitting in a treatment room, wondering how they will make it through another day. Someone may be trying to pursue an education while carrying burdens no one else can see. Someone may have a dream in their heart but feel that life has placed too many obstacles in the way.

I wanted that person to know:

You are not alone.

Your circumstances may be difficult, but they do not erase your purpose. Your dreams still matter. Your story is not over.

What It Means to Be Dragon Strong

A dragon is often portrayed as powerful, fearless, and impossible to defeat. Real strength, however, does not always look fearless.

Sometimes being strong means admitting that you are afraid and continuing anyway.

Sometimes it means resting when your body needs rest.

Sometimes it means asking for help, crying when the pain becomes too heavy, or offering one small prayer when you cannot find any other words.

Being Dragon Strong does not mean pretending everything is fine. It means recognizing the fire within you even when life feels dark.

It means believing there is still something worth fighting for.

Walking Through Cancer

Cancer can change the rhythm of your life. Suddenly, your days may be shaped by appointments, treatments, uncertainty, and questions without immediate answers.

It can affect more than the body. It can touch your emotions, relationships, confidence, faith, and sense of direction.

There were moments when strength did not feel like a grand act of bravery. Strength meant facing the day in front of me. It meant continuing to believe that my life held meaning, even when the road ahead was uncertain.

Cancer became part of my story, but I refused to let it become my entire identity.

I was still a woman with dreams.

I was still a student.

I was still a writer.

I was still becoming the person God created me to be.

Continuing My Education

Pursuing an education while navigating cancer treatment required perseverance.

There were days when my goals may have appeared too distant. Yet education represented more than completing assignments or earning recognition. It represented possibility.

Every step forward was a declaration:

My future is still worth preparing for.

Progress does not always happen quickly. Sometimes it arrives through small, determined choices—the decision to try again, complete one more task, or continue even when the finish line cannot yet be seen.

I learned that moving slowly is still moving.

A difficult season may change your pace, but it does not have to cancel your purpose.

Building Princess Crystal Says

Princess Crystal Says grew from my desire to use words to encourage, inspire, and help others remember their strength.

Through my books, journals, workbooks, and messages, I want readers to feel seen. I want people walking through grief, illness, uncertainty, or personal transformation to discover a gentle place where hope still lives.

Building this dream while managing my own challenges taught me that purpose does not always wait for perfect circumstances.

Sometimes purpose is born in the middle of the struggle.

Sometimes the very experience that made you question your strength becomes the testimony that helps another person find theirs.

Faith in the Unfinished Chapter

Faith does not always remove uncertainty. Sometimes faith gives us the courage to walk through it.

There were chapters when I could not see how everything would come together. I had to trust that God was present even when the path was unclear.

I learned that faith can be quiet.

It can be a whispered prayer.

It can be the decision to rise again.

It can be holding on to hope when your hands feel tired.

God can meet us in treatment rooms, classrooms, unfinished manuscripts, sleepless nights, and uncertain mornings. There is no place so dark that His light cannot find us.

More Than a Survival Story

Dragon Strong: My Story is not only about surviving cancer.

It is about continuing to dream while your life is being tested. It is about pursuing an education when the journey becomes difficult. It is about creating something meaningful while healing.

Most of all, it is about refusing to surrender your identity to your circumstances.

We are shaped by what we endure, but we are not limited to what we have suffered.

There is life beyond the diagnosis.

There is purpose beyond the pain.

There are dreams waiting beyond the chapter you are struggling to finish.

You do not have to be strong every moment to be a strong person.

You are allowed to rest.

You are allowed to ask questions.

Strength is not the absence of struggle. It is the courage to continue through it.

There is still light within you. Even if it feels like only a tiny spark today, protect it. Feed it with faith, love, rest, and hope.

One day, that spark may become the fire that lights someone else’s way.

I did not write this book because the journey was easy.

I wrote it because the journey was hard—and I kept going.
