About six months ago, I decided to move into a little RV community where I met some amazing neighbors. Today, I am very blessed to be living here because I have become a granny to three amazing kids. I am so grateful to their parents for trusting me with their beautiful children and allowing me to be a part of their daily life.
One child is a little girl, who is 18 months old and her big brother is almost 10 years old. Additionally, my landlord’s granddaughter is about four years old and she calls me granny as well. Just hearing their sweet little voices brings me so much joy and happiness.
I love their daily visits when they come in to talk to me. The four-year-old likes to draw for me and I save her little pictures. It truly touches my heart to be loved by the neighborhood kids.
Sometimes, I get to babysit the toddler and her older brother, which allows me to make a little money. However the most amazing part is I get to hang out with them all day. The little boy is my helper around the house and that is such a blessing to me.
I truly hope that we continue to have such a strong connection with all of my neighbor‘s children in the future. Unfortunately, living with a disability causes to be lonely, but with their daily visits I feel like I am someone special to them.
