As writers, we spend countless hours weaving stories from imagination, hope, and heart.
We create worlds that exist only in our minds and then send them into the world, never quite knowing how readers will receive them.
That is why I was deeply touched to read the recent editorial review of The Last Song of the Fairy King.
The review described the novel as “a dark fae fantasy of rare emotional depth” and praised its themes of love, sacrifice, music, and the cost of magic.
It spoke about the Fairy King as a character carrying centuries of loneliness and described the story as one that lingers long after the final page.
As an author, there is no greater gift than knowing a story connected with someone on that level.
When I began writing The Last Song of the Fairy King, I wanted to create more than a fantasy novel. I wanted to create a world where music mattered, where love had consequences, where magic came with a price, and where even immortal beings carried wounds that readers could understand. Seeing those themes recognized in the review was both humbling and encouraging.
One part of the review that especially touched me was the recognition of the emotional journey at the heart of the story.
The reviewer noted that the novel is not simply about a powerful fairy king and a human woman, but about what power costs and what love demands when it arrives unexpectedly.
Those words reminded me why I write.
Stories have always been more than entertainment to me. They are bridges between hearts.
They allow us to explore courage, loss, hope, wonder, and the possibility that even in darkness, a song can still be heard.
I am incredibly thankful to the reviewer for taking the time to read the book so thoughtfully and for sharing such generous feedback.
Writing can often feel like sending a message into the stars and hoping someone hears it.
This review felt like a beautiful answer echoing back.
Most of all, I want to thank my readers.
Every person who downloads a book, reads a chapter, leaves a review, shares a recommendation, or simply believes in my work helps make these stories possible.
Your support allows me to continue building enchanted worlds, creating unforgettable characters, and sharing the stories that live in my heart.
The Last Song of the Fairy King began as a whisper of an idea. Today, thanks to wonderful readers and thoughtful reviewers, that whisper has become a song.
And for that, I am truly grateful.
With love & light,
