The Uber Driver Who Made Tidbit’s Day

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness leave the biggest paw prints on our hearts.

Recently, I had an Uber ride that turned into a memory I’ll treasure for a long time.

My tiny teacup Chihuahua, Tidbit, was with me, as she often is. Like many pet parents know, our furry companions are more than pets—they’re family.

As we settled into the ride, something unexpected happened.

The Uber driver welcomed Tidbit and allowed her to sit up front with him and allowed her to drive with him.

For a little dog with a big personality, it was the adventure of a lifetime.

Tidbit sat proudly in the passenger seat, looking every bit like the co-pilot of the journey.

Her little ears perked up, her eyes sparkled with curiosity, and she seemed completely fascinated by everything happening around her.

It was clear she was having the time of her life.

Every now and then, though, she would turn around and look back at me.

It wasn’t fear or uncertainty. It was simply Tidbit being Tidbit—making sure her mom was still there.

Each glance seemed to say, “Are you seeing this? Can you believe I’m up here?

Then she’d turn back around and continue enjoying her special seat beside the driver.

I don’t remember the driver’s name, and I wish I did.

If somehow this story finds its way to him, I want him to know how much that simple gesture meant.

To him, it may have been a small act of kindness.

To Tidbit, it was an exciting adventure.

To me, it was a reminder that kindness doesn’t always require grand gestures.

Sometimes it’s as simple as making room for a tiny Chihuahua to feel special for a few minutes.

In a world that often feels rushed and busy, moments like these stand out.

They remind us that compassion can be found in unexpected places—in a smile, a helping hand, or an Uber ride shared with a four-legged passenger.

Thank you to the Uber driver who made my little dog’s day.

You may not realize it, but you gave Tidbit a memory worth wagging about.

And you gave me a story worth sharing.

With love & light,

Crystal Amon

She was so happy that she got to drive. She really liked him. I wish I knew his name because I would tag him in social media.
