Thereโs a certain silence in a blank page. Sometimes it feels heavy, like itโs staring back at you, waiting for the perfect words you donโt quite have yet. Other times it feels like freedom โ a wide, open sky that says, anything is possible.
For a long time, I leaned toward the first feeling. A blank page used to scare me. What if I wrote the wrong thing? What if my words didnโt matter? What if nothing came at all?
But somewhere along the way, I learned to see it differently. A blank page isnโt a test. Itโs an invitation. It doesnโt ask for perfect sentences. It doesnโt demand brilliance. It just asks for honesty. One line. One thought. One prayer whispered onto paper.
Why the Page Matters
When I journal, the blank page is where grief has found a safe place to land. Itโs where my faith has deepened, and where Iโve reminded myself of who I am when the world tries to make me forget.
Every workbook Iโve written, every guided journal Iโve created, started with the courage to face that empty space and trust that the words would come.
The page is powerful because itโs waiting for you. Not someone elseโs story, not someone elseโs expectations โ just yours.
An Invitation for You
Maybe youโre staring at your own blank page right now โ in a journal, in a new season of life, in a choice you need to make. I want to remind you: it doesnโt have to be perfect. You donโt need to know the ending before you start.
Just begin. One word at a time.
Because the blank page isnโt empty after all. Itโs full of possibility, full of courage, full of you.
