There was a time when I wasn’t sure I’d make it through the night—let alone find purpose again. Cancer didn’t just attack my body; it tried to steal my identity, my confidence, and my future. But through every tear, treatment, and test of faith, I held on. And today, I stand not only as a cancer survivor, but as a writer, mentor, and advocate for others finding their way through darkness.
This is my story—and my purpose.
🎗 The Battle That Changed Everything
I was diagnosed with stage 2B cervical cancer and quickly thrown into a whirlwind of aggressive treatments. Radiation. Chemotherapy. Procedures. Pain.
The physical toll was severe, but the emotional weight was even heavier.
There were moments when I didn’t recognize myself. My body was weak. My nerves were damaged. Every day felt like a fight to hold on.
And yet, somewhere deep inside, I refused to let cancer write my final chapter.
🖋 Finding My Voice Again
Before my diagnosis, I had already been a professional writer for years. I had over two decades of experience—but cancer paused everything. For a while, I wondered if I’d ever get back to doing what I loved.
But slowly, as I began healing, something beautiful started to stir inside me again: my words.
They became my therapy, my prayer, my power.
I started blogging again at PrincessCrystalSays.com, sharing raw, honest reflections about life with chronic illness, survivorship, faith, and purpose. And to my surprise—people listened. People connected. And many said, “Your story helped me.”
That was the moment I knew: I had to keep writing—not just for myself, but for others.
💪 The Birth of Dragon Strong Circle
Surviving cancer gave me more than a second chance—it gave me a mission.
I founded Dragon Strong Circle, a private support group for anyone touched by cancer. The name “Dragon Strong” symbolizes the fierce strength we carry inside, even when we feel broken.
What started as a small online group became a growing community filled with compassion, connection, and courage. Together, we share stories, lift each other up, and create space for healing that goes far beyond medicine.
✨ Using My Gifts to Uplift Others
Today, I use every ounce of my writing talent and life experience to encourage others. I mentor new writers, help fellow survivors share their voices, and pour hope into every blog post and project I create.
My Blanket of Love Mission is just one example—gathering throw blankets for cancer patients in Jacksonville, FL as a simple but powerful reminder that they’re not alone.
My career isn’t just about writing anymore—it’s about impact.
