Tidbit’s Big Adventure: A Day at the Doctor’s Office

Today was a special kind of magical—because Tidbit, my sweet ESA (emotional support animal), got to take her very first ride in her brand-new pet backpack!

This backpack isn’t just any carrier—it’s cozy, has several air vents for breathability, and a clear plastic front so she can peek out and see the world around her. As soon as I unzipped it, she crawled in like she already knew it was made just for her. That little moment alone melted my heart.

We were off to my PCP doctor’s office, and to my joy (but not surprise), Tidbit stole the show. Everyone we passed lit up when they saw her. Staff, patients, even people in the parking lot wanted to say hello. She handled it like the seasoned five-year-old queen she is—calm, gentle, and full of love.

Carrying her with me reminded me just how deeply animals can comfort and support us. Tidbit isn’t just a pet. She’s family. She’s a healer. She’s a little light in my life that reminds me to breathe, be present, and find joy in the small things.

We all have things that help ground us—and for me, Tidbit is one of those sacred blessings. She may only weigh a few pounds, but the love and peace she gives? Immeasurable.
