I Found Purpose Through Pain

By Princess Crystal of | PrincessCrystalSays.com

There were days I didn’t think I would make it.

Nights where grief wrapped around me like a blanket too heavy to shake off.

Moments when cancer treatments left me weak and uncertain.

Times when I asked God why me? and didn’t hear an answer right away.

But through all of it—every tear, every ache, every valley—I discovered something I never expected:

There was purpose in my pain.

Pain Didn’t Break Me—It Built Me

It’s easy to see pain as punishment.

It’s harder to see it as a teacher.

But pain taught me more about myself, my strength, and my faith than comfort ever could.

Pain stripped away the masks I wore and the roles I thought I had to play.

It forced me to sit with myself, to listen to the Holy Spirit, and to remember who I was created to be.

Not perfect.

But powerful.

Not flawless.

But faithful.

My Purpose Was Hidden In The Hard

When I started writing, I wasn’t trying to go viral.

I was trying to survive.

I poured my heart out in blog posts and journal entries because I needed somewhere to place the pain.

And what I found was that other people were hurting too.

Other people were waiting for someone to say,

“Me too. I’ve been there. You’re not alone.”

God took what tried to destroy me and turned it into a ministry of encouragement.

He used the very things I wanted to hide to shine light for someone else.

The Shift Came When I Stopped Hiding

We are so quick to hide our wounds.

But I’ve learned that wounds don’t make you weak—they make you real.

And real is what heals.

The moment I started sharing my truth—about cancer, about loss, about love, about grief—was the moment I found freedom.

And that freedom became fuel.

For my writing.

For my purpose.

For PrincessCrystalSays.com.

If You’re In The Middle Of Pain Right Now

Let me say this to you:

Don’t give up.

God is not finished.

Your pain is not the end of your story—it’s the beginning of a new chapter.

One where you rise.

One where your scars speak life.

One where your past becomes someone else’s roadmap to healing.

Purpose Is Born In The Fire

I’m not who I used to be—and I thank God for that.

Because the pain I walked through shaped me into a woman who can stand boldly in truth, in grace, and in love.

And now I help others do the same.

So yes, I found purpose through pain.

And if God can use my brokenness, He can surely use yours too.

And if this spoke to you, share it—because someone else might need this reminder too:

Your pain has purpose.

And you are not alone.
