I Found My Voice Through Writing My Truth

By Princess Crystal of | PrincessCrystalSays.com

There was a time when I didn’t know how to speak up for myself.

A time when I swallowed pain, stayed silent in suffering, and smiled through heartbreak just to keep the peace.

But then something shifted.

I picked up a pen, opened a blank screen, and let the truth pour out.

And I found my voice.

Writing Saved Me

Writing didn’t just help me express what I was feeling—it helped me understand what I had survived.

It gave shape to the grief of losing my twin brother, the ache of my mother’s passing, the fight of surviving cancer, and the sting of being hurt by people I trusted.

Every word I wrote was a step toward healing.

Every sentence was a crack of light in the dark.

I wasn’t just writing stories. I was reclaiming my power.

Real. Raw. Relatable.

That’s what PrincessCrystalSays.com has always been about.

I didn’t create this blog to pretend everything is perfect.

I created it because I needed a space to be real.

To write about faith when it was hard.

To grieve without shame.

To share joy, love, and even my struggles with self-worth.

In telling my truth, I realized: I’m not alone.

And if my words can make even one person feel seen, heard, or understood—then I’ve done something sacred.

My Voice Is My Victory

For so long, I thought being quiet was being strong.

Now I know: strength is found in speaking the truth—even when your voice shakes.

Writing helped me break generational chains.

It helped me find peace after trauma.

It helped me reconnect with God, with myself, and with the people who truly see me.

This voice—this bold, honest, sometimes broken but always brave voice—is mine. And I will keep using it.

You Have A Voice Too

If you’re reading this and feeling unseen, unheard, or silenced, I want you to know:

Your story matters. Your voice matters.

You don’t have to write like anyone else.

You don’t have to be polished or perfect.

You just have to be you.

Start with a journal. A prayer. A blog. A note to yourself.

Speak your truth. The healing starts there.

Writing didn’t just change my life—it gave me back my life.

So thank you for being part of this journey.

Whether you’ve read one post or every post, you’ve helped me stand in my truth and keep going.

Subscribe to PrincessCrystalSays.com for more posts like this, and share your own story in the comments. I’d love to hear your voice, too.

We’re not alone. We’re healing together.

One truth at a time.
