You can tell me you love me a hundred different ways.

You can say all the right things, make all the right promises, and whisper apologies like poetry.

But if your actions don’t match your words — I’ve learned not to believe you.

Because words are easy.

They’re cheap.

They can be dressed up, softened, rehearsed, and repeated.

But actions? Actions reveal the truth.

I spent too long listening to words that were empty.

“I’ll change.”

“I didn’t mean to.”

“You’re the only one I love.”

Those words came wrapped in manipulation, followed by more betrayal, more pain, and more reasons to doubt my own instincts.

Now I know better.

Love doesn’t just say it’s sorry — it shows it.

Respect isn’t promised — it’s practiced.

And trust? That’s not built through speeches. It’s built through consistency, effort, and time.

The truth is, anyone can say the right thing in the moment. But only someone who means it will follow through when no one’s watching. Only someone who values you will choose to show up again and again, not just when it’s convenient, but when it counts.

So if you’re out there clinging to words while their actions keep hurting you — I want you to know: You deserve more.

You deserve alignment.

You deserve honesty.

You deserve someone who doesn’t just talk a good game, but who lives it — daily, genuinely, and without needing to be asked.

Let their actions speak. And let your heart be smart enough to listen.
