Unfortunately, I made the heartbreaking decision to rehome my beloved birds with a dear friend. My disability was the deciding factor, because I couldn’t chase them when they flew around my house. Additionally, I couldn’t clean up after them as often as I wanted.
Max continued biting me, so I was originally going to rehome her. However, Scarlet was bonded with Max so I let them go together. They both really love the new owners and I get to see random videos of them playing together.
Max hasn’t bit the new owners, which made me feel relieved. She was a bully to me and Wicca, who is my yellow cockatiel. I have had her for over two years now and she is happy to be alone again.
I miss them both every day, but I know I did the right thing. Each video reminds me that they are both in good hands with the new owners. Luckily, I can visit them whenever I want to see them.
