Devotional: “Strength for the Step You’re On”

Scripture:

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

Life rarely unfolds in full view. God often gives us just enough light for the step directly in front of us—not the whole staircase, not the entire journey. And while that can feel unsettling, it’s also an invitation to trust.

A lamp at the feet doesn’t show the next mile; it shows the next move.

God’s guidance often comes the same way: small nudges, quiet reminders, gentle convictions, timely encouragements. Even when you long for a complete map, He offers something better—His presence.

Today, instead of worrying about the whole path, focus on the step that He has lit.

Is He nudging you toward forgiveness?

Toward rest?

Toward courage?

Toward letting go?

You don’t need all the answers to move forward. You just need to take the next faithful step.

Prayer:

Lord, calm my desire to control every part of my journey. Give me peace in the light You provide today. Help me trust You with each step, knowing You walk before me, beside me, and behind me. Amen.
