🔥 A Battle That Changed Everything

My journey began the day I heard a word no one ever wants to hear: cancer.

I remember my children — their tiny faces, their warm little hands — and the terrifying thought that I might not get to watch them grow. Treatment was a war no one could see from the outside. It was physical, emotional, and spiritual all at once.

There were days I cried in silence, nights I felt hollow, and moments I questioned if I could keep going. But every time I fell, something stronger rose inside me — something fierce and protective. Something that refused to quit.

My son once told me, “Mommy, you’re like a dragon. You’re strong and you breathe fire.”

She didn’t know yet just how true that was.

🔥 From Fire to Faith — And Finding Myself Again

Surviving cancer wasn’t the end of the story. It was the beginning of rebuilding a life I no longer recognized. I had to learn how to breathe again, how to hope again, how to believe I was still allowed to dream.

Writing became my healing.

Writing became my new heartbeat.

Writing became how I came back to life.

I poured my pain onto paper, my faith into journal pages, my questions into prayers, and my hope into stories. And slowly, the old me faded — not in loss, but in transformation.

That’s when I heard the whisper that became my calling:

After cancer, I didn’t want to just survive — I wanted to rise.

I wanted to build something meaningful.

I wanted to create something that would help others heal the way writing helped me.

So I went back to school after a sweet doctor gave me his old laptop.

I studied. I learned. I rebuilt my confidence piece by piece. It wasn’t easy, but it was purposeful.

Every class, every essay, every late-night study session was part of reclaiming my life on my terms.

Education became another step in my healing — a way of proving to myself that the fire did not take my future. It refined it.

From the fire came my voice.

From my voice came my stories.
