When Light Meets Fear
Every fire begins as a whisper. It doesn’t roar; it wonders. It asks, “Is it safe to shine here?”
That question followed me through every page of Lira and the Dragon.
Lira’s story isn’t only about dragons or magic — it’s about what happens when we touch what we were taught to fear and find warmth instead of ruin.
The Courage to Stay
She is an elf who breaks a rule, a girl who holds a living flame in her hands and refuses to let go. She meets a dragon whose trust has been betrayed and who has forgotten what healing feels like.
Together, they become proof that light and fire are not enemies — they are halves of the same miracle.
We’ve all met our own “Vaelen,” haven’t we? Something fierce, misunderstood, and wounded — inside us or beside us.
And we’ve all been Lira too — standing at the edge of what’s forbidden, trembling, but stepping forward anyway.
Trust Is the Real Magic
The story reminds me that trust isn’t soft; it’s sacred. It costs.
To open your hand toward fire is to risk being remade.
But maybe that’s what love — real, refining love — is meant to do.
Ashes and Becoming
So if your life feels like ash right now, don’t rush to sweep it away.
Ash is the earth’s way of remembering where warmth once lived.
And if the light in you feels too wild to hold, remember: fire that loves doesn’t consume.
It transforms.
The Gentle Glow Ahead
May your courage burn slow,
and your heart learn to glow without fear.
With love & light,
Crystal Amon
