From Idea to First Draft: Coaching + Workbook for Writers

Every writer has a story inside them—but getting it out and onto the page isn’t always easy. That’s why I created a personalized coaching plan paired with the From Idea to First Draft Student Workbook. Together, they give writers the structure, support, and accountability they need to turn sparks of inspiration into finished drafts.

How the Coaching Plan Works

The program runs for six weeks, with clear milestones each step of the way. Through live coaching sessions or guided video lessons, I help writers move steadily forward without getting lost in doubt or perfectionism.

Here’s the flow:

Week 1 – Finding the Spark: Choose the story or blog project you’ll commit to.

Week 2 – Building the Blueprint: Create a workable outline to guide your draft.

Week 3 – Characters, Voice & Style: Shape your voice and bring your project to life.

Week 4 – Writing Momentum: Build a rhythm and knock out your first 25–30%.

Week 5 – Push Through the Middle: Navigate the tough middle section with focus.

Week 6 – Reaching the Finish Line: Complete your first draft and celebrate the win.

As a coach, I walk beside you—answering questions, offering feedback, and keeping you on track.

How the Student Workbook Fits In

The Workbook is your daily and weekly guide. It includes:

Teaching pages that explain each week’s focus Three unique prompts per week to spark ideas Exercises to build structure and track progress Reflection space to note insights and challenges

The workbook makes the coaching tangible—every lesson is reinforced with activities and writing practice, so you’re not just listening, you’re doing.

Why Pair Coaching with a Workbook?

The workbook keeps you engaged between sessions, while coaching brings accountability and encouragement. Together, they create momentum: the workbook holds your hand day to day, and the coaching sessions help you see the bigger picture and overcome roadblocks.

By the end of six weeks, you’ll have:

A completed first draft A repeatable writing process The confidence that you can start and finish your work

✨ The truth is, no one writes alone. With guidance and the right tools, every writer can go from idea to draft—and that’s exactly what this coaching plan and workbook are built to do.

With love & encouragement,
