This particular blog post is about my bonus daughter Payton. Luckily, I met her about three years ago when I broke my leg. She was at her grandmother’s, who came over and helped take care of me while I was recovering.
She began visiting with her grandma, which I am extremely grateful for. Since then, she has been coming over ever since to visit almost every day. Payton knows about my disability and she helps me a lot around the house.
I am thankful for her help every day, whenever I am babysitting her. Additionally, she also helps me out with my personal animals. She also helps me out with pet sitting whenever I need it. About 9 months ago, I began giving her a monthly allowance.
This way, she has extra money to spend on the things that she wants. Personally, I am grateful that she is willing to help whenever I need her. In addition, I am also very thankful to have her in my life each day.
Honestly, I would be completely lonely and lost without her company. Maybe one day, I can truly show her how much her help means to me. She is growing up too fast and getting older with each year.
Payton is about to turn 15 in November, which means I got to get her a special gift soon. Her birthday is a few months away, but coming up fast. She is also going back to school soon in August, so I won’t see her as much.
Would you take a moment to say happy birthday to her?
Respectfully, yours,
Crystal Amon
