Does your loved one live fulltime in a nursing home facility? My mom did for several years before she passed away. I learned a lot throughout this very stressful experience. My mother needed round the clock assistance or medical care.
Mostly, I learned that you should visit your loved one as often as you can. Always ask your loved one about how the staff is treating them. Be sure to listen whenever they talk about it since they live there daily.
Ask them about how they are being cared for on a daily basis. If you visit often, you’ll notice how the staff interacts with them. In addition, the nurses should be able to answer any questions about your loved ones medical care.
Be totally involved in your loved one’s health care while in the facility. Get to know your loved one’s friends, who are living there also and ask them questions. You can learn a lot from other people about their experiences at that nursing home.
