Keeping your dog cool for the extreme heat in the summer will be a challenge, but it can be done. Be sure to keep their.pet paws safe when going outside or when walking your dog. During the summer, the concrete is really hot on your dog paws.
Therefore you want to let them walk on the grass only or put booties on their feet. Be sure to keep your pet hydrated as well when you’re on a walk. You can carry a water bottle with you and a little collapsible cup to give them something to drink.
Try taking shorter walks, so they don’t overheat during the day when the temperatures are so high. If the temperatures are too high, stay inside and play with your pet inside where it’s cool and comfortable.
Additionally, you can also make your dog ice treats with a simple ice tray. Dogs enjoy these special yet simple cool treats. Also, dogs love to get in pools and cool off as well. so remember to watch out for your dog during these hot summer days.
