Caring for a Green Cheek Conure

Green Cheek Conures love to eat, whether it’s birdseed or food you’ve made for dinner. They enjoy trying new things everyday, so share with them each night. They love spray millet and treats that you can get at any pet store.

They love to play in their water bowl and they will take a bath in it as well. Make sure to give them freshwater every day in their water bowl. Additionally, provide a sturdy dish for them to take a bath in. 

Always try to hold them each day, so they get used to your hand and shoulder. They truly enjoy walking on the floor and following you around. Also, try to get them a jungle gym to play on and lots of different toys. 

Be sure to clean their cage once a week, because they love to make a mess. They will get seed all over the floor around their cage. So, be sure to clean up the floors especially after they throw their seeds out.
